Azerbaijan is a strange and fascinating nation. Azerbaijan, situated on the border between Asia and Europe, has one of those cultures that is especially challenging to describe, as it is a Caucasian nation with a huge Turkish and Iranian impact which used to be a component of the Soviet Union, resulting in such a weird combination of opposing societies that tends to leave the traveller befuddled. Azerbaijan's oddness is what helps make it such an intriguing country.

FOR TRANSIT TRAVELLERS TRAVELLING VIA AZERBAIJAN
The regulations controlling entry at the transit passenger's end destination shall apply to transit people travelling via Baku (GYD). Travellers should check before their flight to get the most up-to-date information on the necessities in the nation they are visiting. If the destination nation needs a PCR test, a QR code on the certificate is preferable because it allows for faster access to additional data about the PCR test result. Travellers who display a certificate with a QR code embedded will be able to pass through border control more quickly because this unique code will offer detailed info about their PCR test results.
Travellers who display certificates of negative PCR test results for COVID-19 without a QR code embedded are predicted to initiate a more thorough check under current regulations. Travellers should be aware that such a check will take more time to complete.
OTHER HEALTH MEASURES
On entry, all travellers are subjected to health screening, which includes temperature checks and a visual examination. Those who exhibit COVID-19 signs may need additional health testing.
