Categories Of Worker In Azer
- According to Azerbaijani legislation, there are two types of workers: employees and independent contractors.
- Employees are those who carry out their work in line with an employment contract, according to the Labour Code.
- Employees are committed to a firm for the long term. They are required to receive and do work on a regular, continuous basis under their job contract.
- In line with the pertinent Civil Code rules, contractors and independent contractors enter into service agreements for the delivery of certain services to legal organizations and people. They are not permanently obligated to the businesses that ask them to perform labour. Companies hire contractors to accomplish predetermined amounts of work as and when needed, but the contractors have the discretion to accept or reject requests.

Employment And Labor Regulation
The work environment and circumstances are closely regulated by Azerbaijani employment regulations, which also list minimum requirements for companies. Through an employment agreement, the employer and employee may come to more favourable terms for the employee; nevertheless, any agreement that limits these requirements is void.
- The Employment Code of Azerbaijan regulates a wide range of topics, including work schedule, yearly leave, minimum wage, permitted a number of hours worked, and pay.
- According to the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the Employment Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a day's worth of regular employment cannot exceed eight hours. Five workdays make up a typical work week. A six-day work week with one day off within weekly working hours may be established by an employer depending on the nature of the industry, service, and employment terms.
- The Employment Code stipulates that specialized jobs must take a minimum of 30 days of yearly leave, with an extra day or days of leave being added based on the employee's expertise. The minimum annual leave is 21 days.
- The employer is responsible for providing secure working environments and providing necessary insurance for the workplace.
- The Employment Code precisely outlines reasons for both employee and employer contract termination. To prevent any possible claim or loss, all termination processes and regulations must be fulfilled.
