Who can be granted an Immigrant Status in Azerbaijan

• The applicant is a close relative of a citizen of Azerbaijan. Parents, children, spouses, grandparents, and grandchildren are considered close relatives in Azerbaijan. 
• He/She has invested a minimum of 500,000 Manats in the economy of Azerbaijan 
• In case the applicant possesses real estate, worth at least 100,000 Manats, in Azerbaijan 
• In case he/she is a family member of a foreigner already residing in Azerbaijan, temporarily. 
• If the applicant is a highly qualified professional or specialist in the economic spheres, science, culture, defence, etc. 

• If he/she is holding a position of power in a company located in Azerbaijan 

Who can apply for a Work permit 

A capable foreigner or stateless person, above 18 years of age is allowed to work in  Azerbaijan. But to start working in the country, they first need a valid work permit from the State migration service. For that, they will first need a temporary residence permit. The applicant must possess the following documents to apply for a work permit in Azerbaijan. 

• A duly filled application form 

• An identity proof 
• A health certificate ensuring the applicant is not carrying HIV or Hepatitis infection 
• An offer/ reference letter from the potential employer. 
• Passport with a minimum validity of  more than 6 months

Cancellation Of immigrant status 

Immigrants must acknowledge their responsibilities and act as per the country’s laws. An Immigrant status can be cancelled on the  following grounds; 

• If the documents provided while applying for residence in the country are found false or inappropriate in the future. 
• If the immigrant poses a threat to the national security or law and order in the country.
